I seem to forget this site a lot. I've also been playing GTA V Online (PS3)... so, yeah.

I have recently watched all of Breaking Bad... and yeah. Good show. Fun show. Worth watching... but The Wire still rests high atop the heap of television shows as the greatest ever.

i'm walking the pooch before bed (around 2:30 cause I cant sleep) and I see a cat. Which freezes and stares at me, the way cats do everyone. Then you make "hey, kitty come here" noises and the fucking thing runs away - as all stupid cats do. (fucking hate cats) and it's peeking at me and constantly watching me. peering around a tree... just constantly trying to watch me for some weird reason.

it's then that I notice something hopping somewhere in the vicinity of where the cat was when I first saw him. I go over and look and it's a baby bird... it's wing is fucked up, it's bleeding a little etc.... so i take my shirt off, wrap the little bird up, cut the dog's walk short and put the bird in a cardboard box and start googling for any wildlife place that would take the bird... couldn't find anything so I googled and called a 24 hour vet.

The first one I called was an answering service for a vet, who obviously only worked on animals the vet takes care of but the kind woman gave me the number of a veterinarian school/hospital in the area and told me - even if they can't take the bird they will know what to do.

i call, the woman tells me they can accept the bird. so i wake my wife, she wants to take the bird in as well and we drive 30/40 minutes to take this bird in. He wasn't bleeding a lot but he obviously wasn't winning that fight. the vet said they'd give him something for the pain and they had a wildlife section of the school that would be taking the bird. they even asked where the bird was found so they could release it back into the area... pretty cool.

i haven't been around in a bit... just been busy. I just tossed up a recent pic I drew and I'll tell you something absolutely retarded that I have been doing.

I'm kinda sick of getting phonecalls from charities, newspapers, people i don't know wanting my money, people i don't know wanting my time, etc. I almost always let these things go through to voicemail, which they NEVER leave a message.

So today my phone rang... "children's cance..." is what showed up on the caller id.

I couldn't help myself... I picked up the phone LAUGHING like Deniro in Cape Fear www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln9yyw… until I ran out of breath and then I hung up.

I can't help but think how it must have confused the shit out of the person on the other end.

and how disgusting of a human being I am... but hey, I thought it was funny.

I'm as guilty of it as anyone. Lost, Fringe, etc... I hate them but I still watch. But more often than not it's because I'm confused by what others possibly see in entertainment I can't find the value in. So I figure there must be a reason people watch it... and I check it out. Sometimes I can see why. Most times I can't. But the "writer" (the part that causes me to abuse myself and forces me to check them out) in me demands that there must be *something* I can learn from it.

That's what art is, isn't it? Up to each and every person to get out of it what they can?
